I love off the road local grown food. Stopped in while traveling on the 40. Asked the bartender with a crazy beard "Chris" what's good on the menu, without hesitation he say "Chicken fried steak with ranchero sauce" I licked the plate clean. Turns out all the meat comes from local markets.
This restaurant has awful food and awful service! The taco's were greasy and stale and our beans & rice were cold. There was absolutely no flavor in our food. Look at the other Route 66 diners for a better meal.
We had the Ground Round in Gravy and the Trout dinner. My husband added the beef soup which he said was good. The service was very good but would not come back for the entree's. Very bland. Very unique decor and gift shop attached.
Salsa was bland, ground beef that was in the enchiladas & burrito was horrible. Chicken fried steak was ok. Club sandwich was good. Service was good.
Good place to eat after a long day of scuba diving. They have a good menu selection. They have plenty of room to accommodate large groups. I've had many of the items on the menu and all have been good. The price is very reasonable. The next scuba class I take to Santa Rosa will all be going to Joseph's.
