This place was awful!!! Only one waitress seemed to be running around like crazy, while several others appeared to just be socializing. The tortillas appeared as though they had just been pulled out of the bag, folded and put on a plate. They were not warmed or cooked whatsoever! The chili rellenos were soft and soggy and the batter appeared to be raw. The icing on the cake was when my husbands beer came to the table warm, only for us to be told someone else turned off the C02 and the manager was not aware. It was a horrible experience! My husbands plate and beer were remove from the ticket and then we were told they did us the favor of taking off the gratuity. We ended up paying $60 for the rest of our meals, which was overpriced for the quality as well. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
Such a cute place, but service and food had a lot to be desired. Service was slow at the beginning then non existent. Food took awhile and was cold when served, and the server never asked how the food was or we would have sent it back. We asked busboy for refills and boxes. There was a bus cart near where we sat and the crew would stand and talk and whomever cleared tables would drop the plates in the tubs, loudly. One server sat in a booth next to us and talked with the busboy that were standing around. Will not return.
We have eaten at Joseph’s for 20-Years or more when we are in Santa Rosa and it was good to excellent. We stopped late on a Sunday night and the entire experience was poor. Barely edible dinner, beans and rice must of been days old, no sopapillas offered (supposedly came with meal) and the service was probably the worst and rudest that I have experienced in years. I would try other options when in Santa Rosa.
Avoid this place unless you like to wait for an hour just to sit down when there are open tables everywhere just so they can try to get you to buy some garbage from their gift shop, or enjoy dealing with arrogant/inattentive/rude service from the host and waiters, and think an enchilada filled with Cheese Wiz topped with melted American Cheese and canned red sauce is worth paying $10+ for. I've had better Mexican food in Sendai, Japan that was made by a Russian immigrant. I'm not even joking. After sitting on the FLOOR waiting over 45 minutes as there are no waiting seats, we finally sat down at the empty table we saw the moment we walked in. The prices to what we saw being consumed was so bad that even after a wait like that it was not worth giving them our money for. Instead we went to the double-drive thru McDonald's and went through the line instantaneously by comparison with food that was actually resembling the pictures for once. If possible, avoid Santa Rosa altogether. It's a festering cesspool in inbred creatures trying to survive by being a stop on Route 66, with foreigners taking pictures at gas stations to mock the garbage that blows with the dust in the background. The only redeeming thing this place has is their swimming hole that is great for diving. But even that is constantly at a threat of being shut down by the city that is full of and ran by inbred cross-eyed clowns like the ones who work at Joseph's.
I'm sorry for this town if this is the only choice for Mexican food. Service was good. Place was clean. I would not recommend this.
